The ACCN and partners will have to rely on carriage fees and advertising for revenue. This is not the same pot of gold discovered by the BTN and SECN. But it is significant that there is a path to a conference channel, and ESPN can't continue to suffocate the ACC. If the the payoff for the conference is a pittance, so be it. A pittance is greater than zero, and they have a 24 hour showcase for their programs. It is an opportunity that Fox would relish too.
ESPN will negotiate in earnest, come 2017.
